Chapter 2 of 9
Setting it up once
New to Claude? Start with step 0, then connect PROXY in about two minutes, once.
Step 0, part 1: your Zoho work account
Get your details from whoever set up your account
Your @baltzar.com address and a one-time password. Nothing yet? Ask your manager.
Sign in at accounts.zoho.com with that address and password
Zoho asks you to choose your own password. Pick one you will remember
If your account has two-factor on, approve in the Zoho OneAuth app or type the code from the SMS
Most accounts don't ask for this.
Done when you see this: your Zoho Mail inbox
Already read your work email in Zoho Mail or a mail app? Skip to part 2. The same Zoho password signs you in to PROXY.
Step 0, part 2: sign in to Claude
Look for an invitation from Claude in your @baltzar.com inbox
Check spam too. No invitation? Sign in with your work email in the next step. No account at all? Your manager arranges one.
Open claude.ai or the Claude app. Choose Continue with email and type your @baltzar.com address
Not a private address.
Open the email “Secure link to log in to Claude.ai” and click the link
Opened it on another device? You get a code: type it where you started. There is no password.
The first time: add your name and accept the terms
If Claude offers to join your company's organisation, choose to join.
Done when you see this: a new, empty chat
Claude's sign-in email arrives in the inbox from part 1. Already use Claude with your work email? Skip to step 1.
Get the app
- On your phone: iPhone and Android
- On your computer: Mac and Windows
Or use claude.ai in your browser. It is the same account everywhere.
The address you need
- https:
//proxy.baltzar.se /api /mcp
Copy it now. You paste it in step 3.
Steps 1 to 5: connect PROXY
In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors
Already listed there with a “Custom” label? Click Connect and go to step 4.
Click +, then Add custom connector
Paste the address and click Add
Sign in with your @baltzar.com Zoho account and approve
In a new chat: (a) click +, choose Connectors, (b) switch PROXY on
Done when you see this
Ask “Is everything running normally?” If Claude answers about Baltzar, it works. Check PROXY is on in each new chat.
If a step doesn't work
If: Forgot your Zoho password, or locked out
Then: Use “Forgot Password?” on the Zoho sign-in page, or ask your manager
If: No sign-in email from Claude arrives
Then: Check spam for mail from @mail.anthropic.com, wait a few minutes, then ask for a new one
If: “isn't on an allowed domain”
Then: Sign in again with your @baltzar.com Zoho account
If: “doesn't have PROXY access”
Then: Access is given per person. Let your manager know, then try again once it's done
If: “The sign-in link has expired” or “didn't start in this browser”
Then: Start again from step 3, in one browser, without switching windows
More detail
Setting up takes about two minutes, and you only do it once. You need two things: a Claude account, and your normal Baltzar work login in Zoho (the one you use for email).
This page is always at proxy.baltzar.se/guide/setting-it-up, and you can open it before you have signed in to PROXY. The old address, proxy.baltzar.se/connect, leads here too.
The address you need
Copy this address. You paste it in step 3.
- https:
//proxy.baltzar.se /api /mcp
The steps
- Open Claude and go to Connectors. In the Claude app or on claude.ai, open Customize, then Connectors.
- If PROXY is already listed there with a "Custom" label, someone has added it for the whole company. Click Connect next to it and go straight to step 4.
- Add a custom connector. Click +, then Add custom connector.
- Paste the address and click Add. Paste the address above into the URL box and click Add. Leave everything else as it is. You don't need the advanced settings.
- Sign in with Zoho. A Zoho sign-in page opens. Sign in with your @baltzar.com work account and approve. There is no code to type and nothing to remember.
- Switch it on in a chat. Start a new chat. Click the + button by the message box, choose Connectors, and switch PROXY on.
That's it. After this, Claude remembers the connection. On the same Claude account it normally appears on your phone too, but check that PROXY is switched on in each new chat.
If a step doesn't work
| What you see | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| "isn't on an allowed domain" | You signed in with a personal or other email | Sign in again with your @baltzar.com Zoho account |
| "doesn't have PROXY access" | Your account hasn't been switched on for PROXY yet | Access is given per person. Let your manager know, then try again once it's done |
| "The sign-in link has expired" or "didn't start in this browser" | The sign-in took too long, or opened in a different browser | Start again from step 3, in one browser, without switching windows |
| Claude says it can't see PROXY | PROXY is switched off in this chat | Click + by the message box, choose Connectors, switch PROXY on |
| It answers, but says it can't reach some data | That one system isn't connected to PROXY yet | Everything else still works. The rest of your question is answered |
Your first five minutes
Try these in a new chat with PROXY switched on. Tick them off as you go.
